Peek Into Our Designs

Submissions

Korita Studio maintains an evolving artist database to support future curatorial projects, commissions, collections, public art opportunities, hospitality spaces, exhibitions, and cultural partnerships.

Artists are invited to submit their work for curatorial review and future consideration. Submissions are reviewed with attention to artistic quality, originality, cultural depth, presentation, and suitability for Korita Studio’s upcoming projects, advisory work, and public-facing art opportunities.

A Note on Korita Studio’s Curatorial Direction

Korita Studio is not an art agency, gallery, or traditional artist-representation platform. The studio does not represent artists in the conventional sense or guarantee exhibitions, sales, commissions, acquisitions, or placement.

Curatorial Practice Built Around Alignment

Instead, Korita Studio is building a distinct curatorial practice at the intersection of contemporary African visual culture, public art, cultural placemaking, collector advisory, and art for public-facing spaces. The studio’s role is to create thoughtful connections between artists, artworks, collectors, institutions, hospitality spaces, corporate environments, and cultural partners where there is strong curatorial, spatial, or project-based alignment.

Artist submissions are reviewed as part of Korita Studio’s wider curatorial research and project development process. When an artist’s work aligns with a current or future opportunity, Korita Studio may reach out to explore a possible collaboration, commission, acquisition, exhibition, or placement.

What We Look For

Korita Studio is especially interested in artists whose work carries a strong sense of identity, place, memory, materiality, storytelling, and visual distinction.

We welcome artists working across painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, textiles, mixed media, digital art, installation, ceramics, printmaking, and other contemporary forms.

We are drawn to work that feels thoughtful, original, culturally grounded, visually compelling, and suitable for public, private, institutional, corporate, or hospitality environments.

How the Submission Process Works

01 Submit Your Details

Artists begin by completing the submission form with their name, contact information, location, artist bio, artist statement, medium, portfolio link, and selected artwork details.

02 Upload Your Portfolio

Artists may upload a portfolio PDF and a selection of 5–10 recent artworks. Images should be clear, well-lit, and labelled with the artwork title, year, medium, size, and price or availability where applicable.

03 Curatorial Review

Korita Studio reviews submissions based on artistic quality, originality, cultural relevance, presentation, and suitability for upcoming curatorial projects, collections, commissions, or public-facing spaces.

04 Artist Database Consideration

Artists whose work aligns with Korita Studio’s curatorial direction may be contacted by email and added to the studio’s artist database for future consideration. This allows Korita Studio to revisit suitable artists when relevant projects, clients, or opportunities arise.

05 Project Alignment

When a project requires a specific style, medium, scale, theme, or cultural direction, Korita Studio may contact selected artists from the database for further discussion, additional images, pricing, availability, or commission possibilities.

06 Offer & Collaboration

If an artist is selected for a specific opportunity, Korita Studio will reach out directly to discuss the project scope, timeline, budget, usage, production requirements, and a formal offer for the work.

Review & Response Timeline

Korita Studio reviews artist submissions on an ongoing basis for current and future curatorial projects, public art opportunities, collections, commissions, and cultural partnerships.

Please note that Korita Studio does not operate with a fixed response timeline for artist submissions. Due to the nature of curatorial planning, project development, client needs, and future opportunities, artists may not receive an immediate response after submitting their work.

Artists whose work aligns with Korita Studio’s curatorial direction may be contacted by email and added to the studio’s artist database for future consideration. Database inclusion does not guarantee immediate use, purchase, exhibition, representation, commission, or placement.

If a suitable project, collection, client request, or curatorial opportunity arises, Korita Studio may contact the artist directly to discuss availability, pricing, usage, project scope, and a formal offer.
